Historic Lauralla B&B
Historic Lauralla B&B is a beautiful turn of the century home of
The Papworth Family. Charming & friendly, relax in front of the
open-fire in the sitting room and enjoy the ambiance of a bygone era
amongst the elegant mellow tones of lovely antiques.
LAURALLA
Breakfasts are in the Dining room where you can chat with other
guests. Our breakfasts are 3 course on the weekends Cereals/Porriage
to keep the inner man healthy, a gourmet fruit course and then a
large platter of 'whatever the cook fancies' it is always
interesting....so bring your appetite, you will need it. During the
week we have a continental breakfast with a stewed fruit course. If
you would like a cooked course [and we are happy to oblige] the
tariff of $199 per night would apply.
Enjoy a wine & platter of
nibbles in the garden under the trees and throw in a rousing game of
croquet or bowels a lot of fun & friendly rivalry.
We have 2 cats Ambrose [black] & Denis [white] & 2 dogs Ruby
[black] a miniature Schnauzer & Kate a Maltese [white], Security is
their job and to make sure guests get their quota of patting &
hugging in before they go home... they struggle with their
responsibilities.. not so you would notice.
LAURALLA is a short
walk to the shops and restaurants so enjoy our local wines with your
meal and have an easy stroll home. Book a wine tour; they pick you
up and drop you home.....too easy.......
LAURALLA beds are as soft
as grandma's with feather mattress toppers that you sink into,
snuggle into your fluffy 'Lauralla' bathrobes and enjoy a port &
chocolate before bed. The style of the rooms is 'Chintz' & a bit of
whimsy thrown in for interest, but in keeping with a lovely old
home.
Tariff: $169per room per night during the week/$199[2 or
more nights] per night weekends/$259 for a 1 night weekend stay. All
guests are welcomed with Tea & Coffee, scones & jam or a glass of
wine & savoury platter.
Check-in is after 12pm and morning
Check-out about 11am [no hurry though].
When you make a booking
with us we ask for your credit card details and a holding deposit of
$100 per room booked. If you cancel your booking 7 days or less you
forfeit your deposit [you will understand that we have turned other
guests away and as people plan their 'get-aways' in advance we are
unlikely to replace your booking.
