Matilda's of Ranelagh

This lovely Victorian gem has a history as one of the most important buildings in the Huon Valley, was connected with the apple and hops industry and was inhabited by several generations of the same family before becoming a Bed and Breakfast. Matildas has become known as one of the friendliest places to stay in Tasmania, and was once host to the Queen, Prince Charles and Princess Anne when they took tea in what is now the Matilda Suite.

This is a place where centuries collide and times moves at a slower pace. Matildas is located conveniently to many Huon Valley attractions and you may well find that one night just isn't enough. We look forward to welcoming you.
